How many of you plan to spend your summer taking part in some sport? If you are not on the field practicing or playing, pick up one of these books by Carl Dueker. I call his books sports-plus. As always, Gary Paulsen is one of the most popular author in my classroom. Boys, especially, love the outdoor adventures in the Brian books, but they soon discover Paulsen does so much more: humor, historical fiction, science fiction, and more. If you like a seriously spooky story, check out books by Neal Shusterman. You will discover everything from a supernatural theme park built on human souls to the dark shadows hidden in the human heart. Now I need to get to a bookstore to get my hands on Everfound, the third and final book in the Skinjacker trilogy. Devin K, Zach T, Trinaty H, and Gee M learned all about him.
