Last Friday, our school celebrated some Very Important People–outstanding students nominated by a staff member. Each staff member is invited to nominate a student who stands out as a Very Important Person. After a breakfast prepared by the cooks in the cafeteria, each VIP is presented with a certificate which describes the reasons why they were nominated.
Pioneers were well represented in this years honors. I just wish I could have nominated more than one. All my students are VIPs this year. Congratulations to these:

Wow! Thank you to everybody who contributed to yesterday’s Veterans Day program. The Student Council provided excellent leadership throughout. I guess that makes up for all those homeroom classes you missed getting ready for it. The bands, choir, and orchestra performed admirably. I enjoyed hearing from SSG McBride and Mrs. McBride. It certainly makes me thankful for what we enjoy in this country and for the men and women who promise to defend us.
