Read first fifteen minutes of class. Nonfiction lesson: Plot. We will read a nonfiction selection from our literature book called “Green Gulch” by Loren Eiseley (page 214). For plot, focus on what happens at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end. We will also use this selection to take discussion notes before talking about the story.
Homework: Read. Have a draft ready to edit and turn in tomorrow.

Read first fifteen minutes of class. We will discuss what you will see and hear in a good book discussion. Then you will discuss the story you read yesterday. These discussions are graded. You will turn in your discussion notes, Mrs. Marsh and I will listen in on your conversations, and you will have a chance to evaluate your own contributions as well as your classmates’.
Read first fifteen minutes of class. Blogging lesson: Choose your theme. You can choose different themes or backgrounds to personalize your blog. To find different themes, go to your DASHBOARD. Along the left hand side, scroll over APPEARANCE, then click on THEMES. Scroll down to find a theme you like. If you want to see what your page looks like with the theme, click on LIVE PREVIEW under the theme. When you find one you like, click on ACTIVATE. The write a blog post that explains what theme you chose and what you like about it. (From the gray bar, choose +NEW – Post.)
