Monday

Enjoy the long weekend and your day off.  Remember to read a little today!
Homework: Read.

Tuesday

Read first fifteen minutes of class.   We’re going to create a video poem using your best line from where you’re from.  Then work on a poem:  revising or completing your second peer conference.  If you would like to type your poem, you may use one of the laptops.
Homework: Read. Have a draft ready to edit and turn in tomorrow.

Wednesday

Read first fifteen minutes of class.   Editing and turning in your writing.  You’ll use an editing checksheet to proofread your writing before turning it in.  Please turn in your poems in this order:  Editing Checksheet, best draft, all other drafts, Peer Writing Conference Forms.
Homework: Read.

Thursday

LIBRARY!  Miss Bowman will talk about how to choose a book that’s a good book for you.  Then we get the rest of class to read.
Homework: Read.

Friday

Read first fifteen minutes of class. Blogging lesson:  Create an ABOUT ME page.  First, learn the difference between posts and pages.  Then edit your sample page to create a page that introduces yourself.    Click here for directions.  If you would like to learn more about blogging and meet other student around the world who are blogging, click here to sign up for the Student Blogging Challenge.  It will give you detailed directions on how to do lots of cool things with your blog and connect you with other classes.
